Der Erlös des Abends ging ohne Abzug an »Journalisten helfen Journalisten«.

Anläßlich des Konzerts schickte uns der in Sarajevo lebende Journalist und Übersetzer Hasan Nuhanovic' ein Grusswort in englischer Sprache:

Dear all,

I would like to express my gratitude for assistance which the JHJ extended to me in dealing with my health problem here in Munich this month.
would also like to send my sincere greetings to all journalists attending the event. I wish them successful future careers and I would like to remind you about an important point. I have met a number of journalists who happened to be at the location or near the location where unfortunate events were occurring in real time. When I say in real time I mean that those journalists happen to bear a witness to those events – in Bosnia it was genocide, and I am a survivor or the Srebrenica massacre of July 1995. You only have one chance to make take you decision – report, inform the world, sent the truth out to other people, be our voice. We live in 21st century when the mass
media can reach any spot of our planet. To not report, to remain silent about human suffering, to be indifferent, to ignore the problem is sometimes equivalent to being complicit. When the official politics fail to respond to human suffering, and turns a deaf ear to it, the only hope that remains is – independent journalism. Go and tell the people what has happened. You will save someone’s life without even being aware of it.
